The Jeffersonian Bed & Breakfast is located in the western heart of the Catskill Mountains. Situated just at the edge of “downtown” Jeffersonville, our historic house was built by the town doctor in 1922.
The Jeffersonian is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants and only 8 miles from
the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
Our seven guest rooms have been recently renovated with a mix of period, faux period and contemporary furnishings. We think you’ll find it attractive and very comfortable. You may find an antique button to ring for service in your room; unfortunately the buttons no longer work. There is cable TV and air conditioning in each room. Enjoy the third floor recreational room with our 1919 mahogany pool table and period furniture.
Our dining room contains a table and chairs with matching sideboards from the original owners. The sitting room has some new furniture and a warming fireplace. The small library is full of books. What a surprise. Quite a few are “period pieces.”

CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST
A Continental breakfast starts by 8am and consists of coffee, tea, milk, OJ, hot and cold cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit and assorted baked goods. For early birds we offer coffee, tea and juice around 7am.
ACTIVITIES
The activities are endless in Jeffersonville and the surrounding areas… from quiet relaxing walks, hikes, biking or driving on our beautiful back roads in all four seasons to fishing and fly fishing many of the local NYS accesses along State Route 52 and other areas. Visit the local farmers markets to buy local wine, fresh cheeses and produce… perfect to pack and head over to the historical stone arch bridge park for a picnic while taking in the fresh mountain air.
On hot summer days enjoy swimming at a local state park or kayaking, canoeing or tubing down the Delaware River. During the week, pack a blanket and catch great music at a local bandstand just a few miles away. Visit the only hydro-powered radio station in the country right here in Jeffersonville.
If golfing is your way of relaxing there are 5 courses for you to enjoy around the area. Need some pampering?
You can make appointments with a local spa or a massage.
There are also museums, eagle watching, flea markets, antiquing, art galleries, unique shops, music festivals and country festivals to enjoy. You can also take a driving tour and visit our local potters and antique shops, trail maps are available.
In the evening, dine at one of many restaurants or pubs in the area. Enjoy watching a movie just a few mile away at a charming 1940s movie theater. We also have schedules for operettas and performances in the area.

The Weekend of Chamber Music has made its home in Jeffersonville recently and we are located only 8 miles from the new Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
Our region offers a cornucopia of things to do. There’s lots of outdoorsy stuff like trout fishing, hiking, rafting on the Delaware River and lake boating, golf and more. There’s lots of indoorsy stuff, too. Shopping, antiquing, bric-a-bracing, flea marketing and lots of downhome bars. And the farmer’s markets are a bit of both. If you’d rather do nothing, just hang out at The Jeffersonian and curl up with a good book.

From NYC: Take George Washington Bridge to Palisades Parkway North 18 miles to Exit 9W. Exit 9W to NYS Thruway I-87 North for 24 miles to Exit 16. Exit 16 to Route 17 West. Take Exit 104 (Monticello) to Rt. 17B. Take 17B West for 16 miles to Fosterdale. Take a right onto Rt. 52 at the stoplight. Stay on Rt. 52 for 6 miles following signs to Jeffersonville. The Jeffersonian is on Rt. 52 on the left past the First National Bank of Jeffersonville.
From Binghamton, Rochester and Upstate Area: Interstate Highway 490 South to the NY Thruway (90) East. In Syracuse leave Route 90 for Interstate 81 South to Binghamton. Pich-up Route 17 East to Exit 87 (Hancock). Route 97S to Callicoon. Turn left at second traffic light onto 17B. Follow into Jeffersonville (17B will turn into State Route 52.) Route 52 becomes Main Street, Jeffersonville. The Jeffersonian, Main Street, is on the left just after the bank.
From Connecticut, Boston & New England: Mass. Turnpike, Sturbridge Exit. Then Route 84 West to NY17 West to Exit 104 (Monticello) to Rt. 17B. Take 17B west for 16 miles to Fosterdale. From Pennsylvania: To Honesdale, PA, take 191 North for approximately 15 miles until you get to Callicoon Road (there will be a stop sign), turn right. Travel 7 miles until you come to the NY/PA bridge. Go over bridge, make right onto Main Street, Callioon, take second left which will put you on 17B East. Follow into Jeffersonville (17B will turn into State Route 52.) Route 52 becomes Main Street, Jeffersonville. The Jeffersonian, Main Street, is on the left just after the bank.
